The light. Dermalight^®-80, Dermalume 2X^®, Dermalume 2X^® and Handisol II^® use NB-311 narrowband UVB lamps.  Narrow band UVB lamps are highly effective for scalp psoriasis treatment and treatment of psoriasis or vitiligo on other areas such as hands and feets without need for drugs.  Dermalight^®-80 is also available with UVA or broadband UVB lamps which may be preferred by doctors in certain cases.

The treatment. Treatment time begins with a few seconds and increases gradually. A treatment guide is included in the manual which helps you and your doctor the right amount of time for your treatment.  A timer is included with Dermalight^®-80 and integrated into Dermalume 2X^® and Handisol II^® to guide scalp psoriasis treatment or treatment on patches of psoriasis or vitiligo.
